Chicago Artist To Watch: Theaster Gates

As part of the CAC's Chicago Artists to Watch campaign, an effort to showcase talented CAC members from communities that have been under-represented in the past, Theaster Gates will present his work, influence, and practice. An esteemed artist and teacher, Gates is coordinator of arts programming at the University of Chicago. His presentation will be in conjunction with the opening of his installation Will the Real Yamaguchi Please Stand Up: Identity, Myth-making, and Representation.
