Chicago Artists Month, the annual showcase of Chicago's rich visual arts community, returns for the twelfth consecutive year this October.  This month-long event, organized by the Chicago Department of Cultural Affairs, includes exhibitions of both emerging and established artists, along with openings, demonstrations, neighborhood art walks and open studio tours at over 200 galleries, museums, cultural centers and arts buildings throughout the city.

Each year, Chicago Artists Month spotlights a group of artists who represent the range and diversity of the City's visual arts scene.  This year, thirteen artists have been selected as the featured artists of Chicago Artists Month.  New this year, meet the featured artists at this first-ever Artists Salon, presented as part of  2nd Fridays in the Chicago Arts District. The Salon will be a fast paced, fun-filled way to see their work in a relaxed setting.  Each artist has 5 minutes to present images of their work in presentations beginning at 6:30pm.  The Salon will be held at at 2003 S. Halsted.
