!Action Figures! explores the relationships between direct action, the figurative art tradition, kinetics, performance, participation, activism, intervention and play.
Action figures serve as symbols, icons, toys, stimulate fantasies and allow us to play god and animate the inanimate. Artists are invited to submit work in all media including 4D, proposals and participatory work. Deadline for submissions is September 1st. Participants will be notified on or by September 15th.
