Ukrainain Institute of Modern Art is looking for a Media Intern to assist with maintenance of website and media outlets, and occassionally exhibition preparation.  We request a commitment of approx. 4 hours per week, days and times flexible.  This is an unpaid position.

 

The Ukrainain Institute of Modern Art is a 501(c)(3) organization.  UIMA was founded in 1971 by Dr. Achilles Chreptowsky in the heart of Chicago's Ukrainain Village.  Three storefronts were transformed into a viable museum serving the local community, and the greater Chicago area with an ongoing program of cultural exhibitions, literary events, film screenings and musical performances.

Five to six major exhibits, often supplemented by catalogs, are held in the main gallery.  One large side gallery houses the  Permanent Collectio, which includes the work of Chicago artists as well as thjat of sculptors and painters of Ukrainian descent.  UIMA is also home to a professional storage and research facility.

Skills & Qualifications: 

This position is open to students and recent graduates.  Applicants with strong web design, WordPress and Photoshop skills are encouraged to apply.
