In a month-long program focusing on how artists and their work interface with each other and the larger world, River East Art Center's Project 465 Resident Artists will be holding two group exhibitions. The first show, The Exchange Project, challenges the artists to collaborate on works which are exchanged between one (or two) two-dimensional artists and one whose work is typically three-dimensional, documenting the works' evolutions as the artists pass them back and forth. The second group show, opening at the end of the month, Derivatives highlights the relationship between a piece of work by a resident artist and responses to it, juried by each artist respectively, from other visual artists, musicians, writers, etc. There will be installations showcased throughout REAC's premises; lectures and panel discussions will be held, related to these projects; as well as offering free interactive demonstrations that highlight the diverse mediums available at REAC, during our Open Studio weekend. Resident Artists featured included: CAAP Grant Awardee Tara Fadenrecht and CAM Featured Artist S. Hill-Sanchez.

Individual listings are also posted for each of these events and programs on CAR. All events are free and open to the public!
