Organization Description:

Founded in 1975, Lillstreet Art Center is a large community of artists and students working side-by-side in a friendly environment which encourages and inspires artistic growth in the individual. Lillstreet Art Center supports the arts through an artist residency program, gallery, studio space, education, and an outreach program.

In 2003, we relocated from a converted horse barn on Lillstreet to a former gear factory on Ravenswood. Our new facility is a beautiful, spacious center, boasting state-of-the-art equipment and expanded course offerings, not to mention plenty of natural light, air-conditioning, storage lockers, and a cafe!

We offer adult classes and workshops for all skill levels in six different departments: ceramics, metalsmithing & jewelery, painting & drawing, printmaking, textiles, and glass. Each department offers First-Time Artist classes that help beginners to explore a new medium in a relaxed environment. Our Kidstreet program has classes, camps, and family workshops for children age 2 and up.
