Jim Zimmer, Director of the ISM Lockport Gallery and curator of The Urge to Embellish, will give a thirty-minute power point presentation "The Embellishment of Material Culture: Yesterday and Today," noting similarities between the "do it yourself" society of 18th and early 19th century America and today's DIY cultural movement. A short exhibition tour lead by the curator will follow the presentation.
