Ewa Bloch will be instructing students to work in a variety of media including acrylics, dry pastels, oil sticks, oil pastels, print making ink (water or oil based), and oils, on board or canvas or paper. Participants will embark on a journey from realism to abstraction to nonrepresentational painting. The class will begin with short discussion about realistic painting and origins of abstraction. From abstract painting, we will move towards non-representational work. This approach will be helpful to the participant of all levels. Participants are encouraged to bring any or all art supplies. We will be experimenting with different mediums during the art making process as well as conducting daily critiques. Get ready to loosen up and have fun!
