This watercolor class is an introduction to the materials and the basic techniques of transparent watercolor. Through this class students will strip away the mystery of watercolor and gain the knowledge of how to use the medium. We will explore how to pull a wash, control the consistency of paint, blend colors without "muddying it up" and many others. Watercolor is an exciting medium and through this course, students will learn how to balance the extremes of total spontaneity and that of total control to produce works of art.
