Chicago-CityLesbian artists who would like to be included in a group art show for Pride Month in Chicago will be on exhibit from June 8-July 26, 2008. The exhibit will be on view at Liz Long Gallery at 1957 S. Spaulding Ave. Chicago, Illinois 60623. The opening reception will be on June 8 from 1-4 p.m. Lesbian artists from around the country are invited to submit images for consideration immediately.
In addition to the visual art show, there will be a video in process for lesbian artists who would like to participate. Local lesbian artists can be taped on site at the gallery. Lesbian artists who live out of state can send a 3 minute tape of themselves and their art. The questions artists will be asked can be emailed to out of state participants. A consent form must be signed for artists to be included.
All media will be considered. There is a limit of 36" in any direction.
The video will be used to promote lesbian art and lesbian artists.
The name of the show is LESBIAN ART MOVEMENT SHOW #14. This is the 14th lesbian art show curated by Dianna C. Long, a longtime lesbian artist/activist.
