HOPE is the committee of the Northwestern Memorial Foundation that exists to support the Women’s Program at the HIV Center at Northwestern Memorial Hospital. Since the committee’s inception in 1991, there has been a tremendous drop in neonatal HIV infection, from 30% in the mid 1980s to zero HIV-infected babies since 1996.
This year, HOPE will host the 6th Annual Egg-Stravaganza that features hand-painted Ostrich eggs for auction. This year’s Egg-Stravaganza will be held on Thursday, May 8 from 5:30-8:00 p.m. at the Perfect Pear Art Gallery located at 712 North State Street. Each year, several notable artists and local celebrities paint the eggs to raise money for HOPE. The evening will also include entertainment and refreshments.
Tickets for the event are available for purchase through the Northwestern Memorial Foundation at 312-926-7133. Individual donations to HOPE can be made by calling 312-926-8656 or by visiting http://foundation.nmh.org/HOPEGift.
