James Brenner is a Chicago-based sculptor
and Director of Chicago Sculpture Works. He received his MFA in
Sculpture from the School of the Art Institute of Chicago. Brenner’s
work ranges from large-scale, interactive steel sculptures to
collaborative, site-specific, public art projects to gallery
exhibitions. All of these bodies of work ask the viewer not only to
observe, but also to engage to become a viewer/participant either in
the process of the making or the way the sculpture is experienced.
