Job Title IT Support Specialist (Web Design and Support)

Are you passionate about graphic design and dynamic web content? Are you a good-natured team player with excellent people skills? As a member of the Chicago State University Web Systems Development Team, the IT Support Associate (Web Design and Support) web support to site publishers and the web systems development office and work closely with a team of programmers and developers. Web support includes assisting site publishers and maintaining their online presence by developing graphics, web sites, editing and maintaining web pages, will assist with external communications and ensure that record keeping is kept up-to-date, time spent on jobs, meetings, phone etc.; Must demonstrate the ability to collaborate with the team, prioritize and track projects, monitor web site and make sure content is kept within the Illinois Web Accessibilities Standards Guidelines, must be able to use html tools and insert scripts into pages, and must make sure supplies, office support, requests and records are maintained for the office.

Good design skills and able to work with graphics programs to create art and edit photos for the web site
Knowledge of: XML, HTML, XHTML, DHTML, Javascript and Content Management Systems a plus. Must know how to use Dreamweaver, Photoshop/Fireworks, Freehand/Illustrator, Flash a plus

Bachelor's Degree (or outstanding talent) in Graphic Design, Computer Science or related field

Candidate must demonstrate good written and oral communication skills, must be self-motivated, resourceful and maintain a high quality of work while meeting deadlines; Must be able to prioritize and manage several projects at a time, a willingness and passion to learn additional web technologies that support our web site and office requirements, install and test programs selected by manager for web enhancements and support
