We’ve been drawing with needles, painting with asphaltum, and we forgot about the simple pleasures of a pencil on paper. Form and contour escaped us somewhere between applying hard ground, and step etching our plate. And we recently thought, "Wouldn’t it be great to have a good, old-fashioned drawing class?" We have invited the talented Layne Jackson to step in for an evening of drawing to help us reinvigorate our image making processes. more... Lee Godie was a Chicago self-taught artist, who often used photography as a way to explore identity.
