We at Spudnik Press recently remembered that we love graphite and charcoal. We’ve been drawing with needles, painting with asphaltum, and we forgot about the simple pleasures of a pencil on paper. Form and contour escaped us somewhere between applying hard ground, and step etching our plate. And we recently thought, "Wouldn’t it be great to have a good, old-fashioned drawing class?"

We have invited the talented Layne Jackson to step in for an evening of drawing to help us reinvigorate our image making processes. more...
