Independent media- makers who want to make the donations to their film or video project tax-exempt may apply to 911 Media Arts Center's Fiscal Sponsorship Program. 911 Media Arts Center's 501(c)3 nonprofit status allows individual or corporate donations to be tax deductible in accordance with current tax laws. Thus, it makes projects eligible for donations from organizations that contribute only to tax- exempt nonprofit organizations.

Art of the Matter's Fiscal Sponsorship Program exists to encourage artists by providing a place where new ideas, diverse art forms, artists and audiences can be encouraged to interact. It offesr a low-tech performance space, access to a bulk-mail insignia, the ability to apply for grants requiring 501c3 sponsorship and a point of view based in experimental dance, theater, music and new media. Selected Members who have taken advantage of some or all of these benefits include the San Francisco Butoh Festival, Sebastian Robin Craig's Manifold American Symphony, Nancy Karp + Dancers, Rachel Kaplan, SHIFT Dance Company, RK Corral (Rajendre Serber and Kristen Lemberg) and Studio 210. The Bay Area Video Coalition (BAVC) provides fiscal sponsorship for independent artists/producers who are soliciting funding from private foundations, government agencies, and individual donors for their non-commercial, video-based projects. As fiscal sponsorees, individual artists, artists’ collaboratives, and emerging arts organizations are eligible to apply for support from major funding sources that typically make grants only to projects with non-profit status. Each year, BAVC sponsors dozens of new projects, working with emerging and well-established mediamakers to help them realize their most promising projects. You must be a BAVC member to be considered for fiscal sponsorship.

Blue Earth Alliance sponsors photography projects that educate the public about threatened cultures and endangered environments and matters of current social concern. We are a non-profit organization with 501 (c) 3 status. This means Blue Earth Alliance is eligible to receive contributions from private foundations and contributions by individuals and other entities are tax deductible. Blue Earth is primarily interested in work that is educational and informational in nature, and will consider proposals of any geographic scope, involving any photographic medium including film projects.
