The Foundation grants up to $50,000 in a Gift of Freedom Award payable over a two-year period to ONE qualified female artist. Currently, A Room of Her Foundation has decided to focus our efforts on its literary awards for the indefinite future.

Christopher Wolk was a talented and creative actor, musician, singer, writer and composer who died accidentally in Glacier National Park, Montana. To honor his memory, Abingdon Theatre Company and the Wolk family have created the Christopher Brian Wolk Award. In the Company's ongoing effort to recognize excellence in playwrighting, a sum of $1,000 will be presented annually to an American writer of a new, full-length play.

All ten-minute scripts will be considered for the Heideman Award ($1,000) and the Humana Festival, but those plays that meet the following criteria will also be considered for ATL's Annual Showcase: cast size--3 or more; characters' age range--18 - 28; minimal sets, minimal props, minimal costume requirements.

Available to accomplished practitioners of the performing arts of India and creative artists who demonstrate that study in India would enhance their skills, develop their capabilities to teach or perform in the U.S., enhance American involvement with India’s artistic traditions, and strengthen their links with peers in India.
