ADULT MIME CLASS

Mime is a universal art that crosses language barriers to communicate emotions, ideas, concepts and the abstract through the stylized movements of the body. Students will learn the Basic Techniques of this mesmerizing art form: Corporal Scale, Isolation, Emotions, Objects, Spatial Understanding, Energy Placement and Characterization. Through exercises and applications, they will learn how these fundamental tools of the art form make up the essential base for understanding the foundation of Acting, Clowning, Circus Movement and Stage Magic.

Adults

YOUTH MIME CLASS

T. Daniel and Laurie Willets will teach Youth Mime Students simple yet mesmerizing Basic Mime Techniques, and how to apply them to given concepts as well as to students’ own ideas. From Michael Jackson's "moonwalk” (and how it originated from Mime Basics) to their own original techniques and exercises, this class is intended for beginning-level students interested in Acting, Clowning, Circus or Stage Magic.

Youth
Ages 12-17 Thursdays 4 weeks/once a week 4:00pm - 5:00pm $100 March 4th - 25th

MIME CLASS FOR CHILDREN

T. Daniel and Laurie Willets will enable students to experience the Art of Mime through emotions, real and imaginary objects and characterization. Students will tap into their own creativity to communicate in the unspoken, physical language of the imagination: The Art of Mime. No prior experience in the arts necessary for this class. Bring your imagination and a hunger to learn!

Children
Ages 7-11 Tuesdays 4 weeks/once a week 4:00pm - 5:00pm $90
