Sideshow is excited to launch its first installment of the Sideshow Actor Workshop Series, designed to fit the acting needs of Chicago-based artists without breaking the bank. This winter and sping, take the opportunity to work in a room full of ambitious, talented and driven actors like yourself, and learn and grow together with one or both of our exciting class offerings!

Audition A-La-Carte
Polish and perfect your next audition piece in our three-part workshop, and YOU decide which sections of the workshop will most benefit your needs. In the first workshop, learn how to best prepare for graduate school and other similar auditions from Richard Warner, Head of Acting in the Department of Drama at the University of Virginia. Next, get to work on an audition piece in class with personalized feedback specific to your performance. Watch others being critiqued and learn not only by listening, but by doing! Finally, tackle the challenges of Cold Reading with in-class practice tailored to your needs! Participate in all three sections, or pick and choose based on your strengths and interests.
Each session costs only $30, or you can attend all three parts for only $80!
Original Works Collaboratory
Empower your artistic vision with this six week introductory class, exploring how the actor uses his or her distinctive skill set for collaboration and developing original work. Get hands-on experience learning how to devise work, starting with exploring solo performance, then branching out with partner and group collaboration. Experience firsthand different methods, approaches and processes for devising original works, and leave with the right skills, ideas, and seeds to develop future work outside the classroom.
This six week session will only cost you $180!
