Artist Stories and Arts Professional Stories are brief essays, posted on Chicago Artists Resource, in which you describe an element of your artistic process. By sharing experiences and expertise with others in the field, you provide solutions and inspiration to other artists.

In keeping with the theme of "Generational Dialogues," we asked several past NYFA Fellows to address the following question: "Briefly describe your relationship with the communities and institutions that provide support and resources for your work, and the ways this relationship may differ for emerging and established artists.
