Artist Story Submission Guidelines

ABOUT
Contribute your voice to Chicago Artists Resource! To ground the site in the first-hand experience of artists, we are developing a collection of Artist Stories that address practical, strategic and philosophical issues. Artists' contributions answer questions that correspond to topical areas of the site. In the long term, Artist Stories featured on CAR will create a living archive of creative activity in Chicago, a resource to both the art world and general public alike.

QUESTIONS
You can browse through a range of questions we have prepared and choose a question that suits your practice and/or experience best. If you are interested in contributing a story that does not correspond to our existing set of questions, you can email us to suggest your question be added to the list.

In keeping with the theme of "Generational Dialogues," we asked several past NYFA Fellows to address the following question: "Briefly describe your relationship with the communities and institutions that provide support and resources for your work, and the ways this relationship may differ for emerging and established artists. How has your relationship to these communities and institutions changed as your career has progressed?" Here are some of their responses. The survey will continue in the next issue of FYI.
