This month we explore the topic: Should white directors stage black plays?  Joining our panel is New York Playwright Kristoffer Diaz, Columbia College Assistant Professor of Film/Video Vaun Monroe, Co-Founder and Co-Artistic Director of The Directors Lab Chicago Elizabeth Margolius, Artistic Director and Founding Ensemble Member of Congo Square Theatre Derrick Sanders, and Assistant Professor of Theater at Northwestern University Harvey Young.

Come for the discussion...stay for the Carrot Cake!

The Tofu Chitlin' Circuit is a theater conservatory located in the Bronzeville district of Chicago, IL.  They seek to hone their craft of directing, playwriting, acting and design before presenting it to an audience.  The purpose of the organization is to bridge the gap between the artist and audience by having discussions about theater trends that affect the local community and world.  Each monthly conversation is delectably known as The A La Carte.
