FAQ: Can an article about my work be reposted on CAR?

Hello,

I have an article written about my art.  Can it be posted as an artist
story or do you have another place on the website for a story like this?

Can freelance journalists email stories about artists to you and if yes, where can they be emailed? How can they posted?

We do re-post articles if they are similar enough to what we look for in artist stories, are written by an artist, or are an interview with an artist. Basically, we want artist stories to be the voice of the artist rather than someone else talking about the artist.

We'd be happy to look at the article and see if it fits.

Also, we are most interested in including articles about artists' professional development issues on CAR as well (grantwriting strategies, networking, touring, finding a gallery/agent, etc), so if a freelance journalist has an article that covers this kind of ground, we would certainly consider posting it. All of our articles are donated to CAR, and can include a link to the author/artist's web site. Also, CAR gets very high google rankings, so an article or artist story on CAR is a valuable promotional tool in this way as well.
