Caro d' Offay Gallery is offering an expanded class schedule this fall, that includes classes taught by local visual artists using a variety of mediums in a relaxed gallery setting. Classes include Silkscreen for D.I.Y promotion, Painting (beginning and intermediate) , a unique bookmaking class that incorporates silkscreen and Lumetype, and the gallery's signature Lumetype class and workshops. Elements Contemporary Ballet Summer Workshop

Elements Contemporary Ballet Summer Workshop introduces the ballet dancer to ECB's style, methods, and choreography. Participants study contemporary ballet technique with Artistic Director Mike Gosney, receiving personal coaching designed to expand the dancer's range of movement while developing their ability to make independent artistic choices. Workshop students will also have the opportunity to work in a professional rehearsal setting with the critically acclaimed ECB dancers, inspiring the creation of new choreography through guided improvisation, as well as learning excerpts from the company's original repertoire. The classes culminate in an informal performance in which the students demonstrate the learned material for a guest audience. Friends and family are invited and encouraged to attend the performance.

Dancers must be at least 13 years old and have a minimum of three years ballet training. more...

Cost: $45 "Comic Book Quickie!" is a three hour intro into the world of creating comic books. Using a sample script and professional materials, artist, David Downs will lead you through page layout, penciling techniques, pen and ink techniques, and coloring with watercolor.
