The Chicago City Council is proposaing a resolution sponsored by Ald. Ed Burke and Ald. Walter Burnett in support of federal legislation called the Artists-Museum Partnership Act, which would allow artists tax deductions for the full market value of their work when they donate it to public institutions.

HOPE is the committee of the Northwestern Memorial Foundation that exists to support the Women’s Program at the HIV Center at Northwestern Memorial Hospital. Since the committee’s inception in 1991, there has been a tremendous drop in neonatal HIV infection, from 30% in the mid 1980s to zero HIV-infected babies since 1996.
