Spudnik Press is a printmaking studio located in a converted loft warehouse in West Town, Chicago. What started in 2007 as a pilot project in a small live/work studio has grown to inhabit a 4800 sq.ft. commercial space that offers traditional printmaking facilities, private studios for rent and a mixed-use space for exhibitions, classes and community events.
The Keyholder program allows 24-hour access to the printshop, and is available to current members, and includes one flatfile drawer for personal storage. All Keyholders must be comfortable using the studio with no supervision. Spudnik requires that artists print a minimum of three sessions during open studios or rental prior to becoming a Keyholder. Spudnik Press reserves the right to deny Keyholder status to a printer. Please call or e-mail with specific questions.
All Keyholders have 24-hour access to both The Printshop and The Annex.
