I moved to Chicago from Florida in 2003. I went to SAIC for painting and then again for journalism. Now I run a co-operative studio & exhibition space in Humboldt Park called Peanut Gallery, I edit the art section of Gapers Block (.com), I write about art for Newcity, I own a couple delapidated rowhouses in East Garfield Park, a 1978 Yamaha enduro & two goofy dogs. Hobbies include cycling, swimming in Lake Michigan and tinkering with experimental video and electronic music. I bartend at Orbit Room to afford to do all these things. In the meantime, I'm always painting, and always looking for commissions and opportunities in art. I paint a mean pet portrait.
