What is my Zoning?
There is only one definite way to find out the zoning designation of a property in which you are interested – look at a current zoning map. Don’t worry if you don’t have a map on-hand, the Department of Zoning has a web-based interactive mapping system which allows you to easily locate the zoning classification of any building located in the City of Chicago.
You can access the mapping system by visiting the City's Department of Zoning Website. You can also contact the Zoning Department directly and inquire about a specific building. For more information, contact 312.742.3508.
