Labor Behind the Label

Artist Lecture Date: Tuesday October, 14th Time: 10:00am Branch and Location: North Austin About this event: Artist Carole Frances Lung, AKA Frau Fiber of KO Enterprises: Labor Behind the Label, will give a lecture about her new exhibit at North Austin Branch Library. On display will be the work of Frau Fiber, an itinerate textile worker. This collection of trace artifacts comes from a three-week durational performance of labor. It includes uniform jackets and pants, historical reference books, pattern pieces, fabric remnants, pins, needles, and much more. The lecture will take place at 10:00 a.m. on Tuesday, October 14, 2008. Her exhibit will run until January 31, 2009.
