Red Tape Theatre will open the 2008-2009 season with an edgy take on Dog in a Manger, freely adapted from Lope DeVega’s original by Artistic Director, James Palmer.
Bursting with a cast of extraordinarily talented actors and an unbeatable design team, Dog in a Manger will sweep the Chicago fringe scene this fall. Fueled by Palmer’s fresh, modern script, this will be a show not to be missed.
In this not so classic tale, Countess Diana and her servants must navigate social taboos, the heavy hand of the inquisition and the ever present question of illusion versus reality in Red Tape’s first avant-garde love story.
