Duties: The new Clinical Assistant Professor of Dance will serve as the coordinator and educator for a new Five-Year BFA Degree/Master of Education in Dance Education Degree Program and Two-Year Master of Education in Dance Education Degree Program, offered in collaboration with the Rutgers Graduate School of Education.

Candidates should have experience teaching courses in methodology and mentoring student teaching.

Responsibilities include departmental administrative duties and committee work as is appropriate for the growth and development of the Dance Education program, including collaborating with the Rutgers Graduate School of Education on matters such as admission to the graduate program, certification requirements, advisement, and licensure. The Department welcomes candidates who are committed to developing relationships with the professional field locally, nationally and internationally.

Qualifications and Application Requirements

Skills & Qualifications: 

Qualifications: Ph.D. or Ed.D. in Dance Education, with experience in teaching K-12. College level teaching, professional dance experience , and substantial dance training are also required. Strong teaching, communication, organizational and interpersonal skills are essential.
