INTERNATIONAL PROJECT MANAGER ASST.
Jodi Kaplan & Associates (JK&A) is a personal "boutique agency" that books dance companies on extensive tours throughout the USA and internationally. Director Jodi Kaplan also consults with both established and newly formed dance companies in developing stronger artistic programming and performing engagements.

Since 1993, JK&A has booked tours for dance companies in South America including Brazil, Argentina, Chile, Uruguay, Guatemala; and in Europe including Turkey, Germany, and Spain; and throughout the USA including long-term residencies in New Orleans and Chicago.

Following the recent success of the booking DANCE FESTIVAL Beijing 2008, a dance festival coinciding with the summer Olympics, JK&A is looking for an Assistant International Project Manger to help oversee the Scotland 2009 and Africa 2010 projects.

This is a tremendous opportunity to gain firsthand experience in every aspect of running an International Arts Festival.

This position will begin as a 3-month internship and will move into a paid position after the review period.

 

Qualifications and Application Requirements

Skills & Qualifications: 

Skills Required: The successful candidate will have superior writing, communication, and computer skills. He/she should be exceptionally organized, resourceful, conscientious, dedicated, detail oriented, and adept at juggling multiple tasks and projects in a small, fast-paced office. This position will report directly to the International Project Manager and will work closely with the festival artists and theatre personnel. The applicant should be a college graduate with one to two years experience working in an administrative capacity. Preference will be given to those with Arts Administration experience. A passion for and knowledge of dance is a strong plus.
