Chicago proposes Artist-Museum Partnership Act -- Oct 6.

The Chicago City Council is proposaing a resolution sponsored by Ald. Ed Burke and Ald. Walter Burnett in support of federal legislation called the Artists-Museum Partnership Act, which would allow artists tax deductions for the full market value of their work when they donate it to public institutions.
They're having a joint Finance and Special Events/Cultural Affairs Committee hearing on Monday, October 6, at 10:30, in the City Council chambers (121 N. LaSalle St., 2nd floor) and would like to have some artists in attendance to support the measure and possibly testify.
