Public Art Call for Fullerton CTA Station

The selection process for the commission of original artwork for the Fullerton Station of the Chicago Transit Authority is underway. Sculpture of durable materials, suspended sculpture, mosaic murals and large scale paintings to be transferred onto ceramic tiles are ideal mediums for this project.

Members of the community serving the Fullerton station have expressed an interest in artwork which reflects the history, diversity, and distinctive qualities of the neighborhood which includes Lincoln Park and DePaul University.

The deadline for application to the Artist Registry or to notify the CTA Arts in Transit Program of your interest in this project is September 1, 2008. Application may be submitted via mail or delivery during regular business hours (Monday through Friday, from 9:00 am to 5:00 pm).

The Program offices are located on the 4th floor of the Chicago Cultural Center, 78 East, Washington Street, Chicago IL 60602.
