Fourth Annual Vertical Hold Video Exhibition

Vertical Hold 2008: Call for Work The fourth annual Vertical Hold presents films, sound pieces, videos, and performances, which highlight the experimental and resolutely unique. The exhibition will be hosted by Gallery One Visual Arts Center in Ellensburg, WA and held in conjunction with the four day long Ellensburg Film Festival. The exhibition will run from 10/3/08 through 12/1/08 with an opening night reception on October 3, 2008. Entry Deadline: All entries must be postmarked by 8/17/08. No work will be accepted postmarked past this date. Please include $15 for each work submitted payable to: Ellensburg Film Festival. Submission Guidelines: The exhibition will accept video entries of all lengths up to 20 minutes, and in the genres ranging from experimental, narrative, and sound, to performance and animation. We will accept work completed in any year. Please make sure your preview (CD or DVD) is labeled with the maker’s name, the title of the piece, and total running time. Include a submission entry form, entry fee, a short biography/resume, a brief synopsis of the work you are submitting, along with the work itself to: Gallery One Attn: Vertical Hold Submission 408 N. Vertical Hold will not pay for the return of preview copies. Please send a SASE with your submission if you wish to get it back, otherwise your materials will be recycled.
