Tony Smith’s exhibit,“La Ventana,” is a collection of limited edition B&W photographs that display beautiful silhouette’s, portraits, and body landscapes of women. He uses the natural light projected through the windows of his Pilsen studio to create these surreal and abstract images. He is an instructor, graphic designer, musician, curator, art collector, former gallery owner and publisher. His photography was recently exhibited at the Museum of Science and Industry in Chicago and at the SSCAC 43rd Annual Auction. He has recieved numerous commissions including photographing Daniel Parker’s art collection and the cover for his book “African Art: The Diaspora and Beyond.” He also published Oscar Brown Jr’s book of poetry and lyrics titled “What it is.”
