Friday, June 20, 2008 at 7PM, Film Row Cinema, Columbia College 1104 S. Wabash The CineYouth Festival (formerly Future Filmmakers Festival) produced by Cinema/Chicago, the presenting organization of the 44th Chicago International Film Festival, will kick-off with an Opening Night Celebration on Friday June 20, 2008 at 7PM. Festivities will feature a screening of the highly-acclaimed documentary film Girls Rock!. Award-winning director Shane King will be present for a discussion moderated by Ron Falzone, Film Professor and Directing Area Coordinatorat Columbia College.The post-screening reception will include a performance by local youth rock band Ursa Minor. Admission is free and open to the general public with RSVP to marketing@chicagofilmfestival.com. Seating will be on a first come, first served basis and is limited to theater capacity.
