October is Chicago artists month. In keeping with our policy of offering opportunities for under represented people, the on site gallery, Liz Long Gallery, will show Chicago Black Artists from October 4 with a reception from 1-4 p.m. The exhibit continues through November 29, 2008.

The show is open to any African American artist who would like to be included. To apply to be considered is FREE. Send images of your art to sophiebella@sbcglobal.net or mail to 1957 S. Spaulding Ave. chicago, Il. 60623

The deadline for getting your art to the gallery is September 27. All costs getting art to and from gallery is the responsibility of artists.

Organization Description: 

Tax exempt 501(C)3 non profit organization called URBAN ART RETREAT houses Liz Long Gallery, Differently Minded Art Studio, Sisters' Place and more at 1957 S. Spaulding Ave. Basic mission is to offer opportunities for under-represented people. An example of this would be the effort to include art shows by under represented people.
