Finance Associate

Steppenwolf Theatre Company seeks a highly organized, detail-oriented individual for the position of Finance Associate. The Finance Associate reports directly to the Director of Finance. Candidates must have excellent data entry and time management skills, as well as sensitivity to confidentiality. This position requires the ability to work independently, self-motivate, innovate and meet deadlines. Specific responsibilities include: * Accounts payable processing * Maintaining vendor relationships * Business office accounts receivable processing * General ledger maintenance * Month end journal entries * Reconciliation of bank accounts, investments, accounts payable and revenue * Creation and maintenance of budget documents * Assist in audit preparation * Business Office revenue deposits * Assist Director of Finance as needed

Qualifications and Application Requirements

Skills & Qualifications: 

Bachelor’s degree and/or equivalent experience * Proficiency in Microsoft Excel * Proficiency in Sage MIP Accounting software, or equivalent
