A.R.T.S. (Artists Recovering through the Twelve Steps) ANONYMOUS is a fellowship of artists who share their experience, strength, and hope with each other so that they may recover from their common problem and help others to surrender to their creativity. The only requirement for membership is a desire to fulfill creative potential. There are no dues or fees for A.R.T.S. membership; it is self-supporting through contributions. A.R.T.S. is not allied with any sect, denomination, politics, organization or institution; does not wish to engage in any controversy; neither endorses nor opposes any causes. Its primary purpose is to promote the expression of creative gifts and help others to achieve artistic freedom.

Chemical Dependency Services help entertainment professionals, their families, and industry employers identify and respond to drug and alcohol addiction problems. Individuals enter the recovery process, achieve and maintain sobriety and, most significantly, take control of their lives. By staying involved through the recovery process, Fund social workers help individuals through the transitions of treatment and are there to provide ongoing support. Services available in Chicago, Los Angeles and New York.

The Actors' Fund's Phyllis Newman Women's Health Initiative (PNWHI) addresses health issues which impact women in the entertainment industry and highlights The Fund's health-related services for women. The concept for the new program was the inspiration of actor/director and Fund Trustee, Phyllis Newman, a breast cancer survivor, who provides leadership, energy and guidance. This program is supported in part by the annual NOTHING LIKE A DAME event.

The AIDS Training and Education Program (ATEP) provides special services to The Fund’s AIDS Initiative clients who are ready to return to the workplace, need support and guidance in addressing current employment issues, and/or develop new interests that could lead to employment and/or a fulfilling life. Clients work with the ATEP Counselor to identify interests and skills, obstacles to employment, and/or appropriate education and training opportunities. Where appropriate, ATEP clients participate in the Actors’ Work Program services and programs.
