The Chicago Chamber Musicians (CCM), a GRAMMY-finalist ensemble comprised of 16 world-class musicians, is looking for a Cultivation Intern to work in Marketing and Development.

This internship will consist of assisting CCM’s Marketing and Development staff with the streamlining of department processes relating to building, tracking and maintaining donor relationships; establishing sponsor and advertiser relationships and participating in ongoing efforts to expand CCM’s online presence. Tasks would include organizing and cataloging donor information, researching prospective donors and advertisers, assisting with grant proposals, compiling procedures and researching web technologies/software.

CCM’s internship program is designed so that each student has ownership of an ongoing project. Interns work with CCM staff to formulate a plan for completion of the project in accordance with organizational need, the intern’s interests and academic requirements. CCM's staff will guide the learning process and provide each intern with numerous learning opportunities. In addition, both the size and culture of CCM enables interns to learn how their area of specialization fits with the other parts of the organization, and how each of those parts contributes to a successful performance.

CCM offers undergraduate students paid internship positions three times a year: fall, winter/spring and summer. This excellent opportunity allows students to gain hands-on, arts administration experience who might not otherwise be able to accept an internship because of their economic situation. CCM is one of six arts partners of the Kemper Fellows Program along with: Court Theatre, Hubbard Street Dance Chicago, Pegasus Players, The Ragdale Foundation and Silk Road Theatre Project. Kemper Fellows at all six organizations will have the opportunity to learn from each other through special Kemper Fellows Program activities.

***APPLICANTS PLEASE NOTE:  Applications are welcome from all interested parties.  However we are only able to offer stipends to students who will be enrolled as undergraduates for the duration of the internship.***

Dates: Start and end dates for internships are flexible, however starting in December or January for a duration of at least 3 months is preferred. Hours and schedule are flexible; a commitment of at least 8 hours (2 half-days) per week is required. Location:

CCM's downtown offices in the Prudential Plaza, across the street from beautiful Millennium Park.
