“Too Hot to Handel: The Jazz Gospel Messiah” comes to the Auditorium Theatre (50 E. With almost 200 performers on stage, this soulful jazz-gospel interpretation features two members of the dynamic tenor trio Cook, Dixon & Young: Rodrick Dixon and Victor Trent Cook; plus soprano Alfreda Burke and 150 voices of the city-wide Too Hot Choir (under the direction of Old St. Pat’s Bill Fraher); a 50-piece symphony orchestra and a jazz ensemble conducted by Suzanne Mallare Acton.
