An Assistant Project Manager is needed to help organize and facilitate a large scale art performance and parade float designed by Chicago-based artist Ben Fain. The project entails a massive float with a fully-furnished bedroom scene, a large rotating pizza-pyramid, 70 dancers dressed in full-body rat costumes, and music by the Bucket Boys. The event will take place in the 12th Annual North Halsted Halloween Parade on October 31st. The intern will play an integral part of the process of producing the massive parade float and organizing the 70 choreographed dancers. They will be required to help with details of the project, such as keeping in contact with the artist and the project manager, as well as other partners such as the choreographer, performers, the accountant, etc. This is a great opportunity to see what it takes to create and perform a large-scale event and the intern will be involved in both the creative and business processes.
