Assist Vice President for Artistic Planning (VP) and Artistic Administrator (AA) in a variety of artistic planning tasks and projects (summarized below). Provide administrative and programming support for the AA.  Assist Artistic Programming Advisor (APA) with production elements for Beyond the Score.  Coordinate and execute chamber music series, Composer-in-residence Chicago residencies and ancillary adult education programs, including all pre-concert lectures.

Maintain all Artistic future-planning materials, including OMS schedule, long-range planning documents, tour programming, and other documents related to future artistic planning.  Serve as primary Artistic Department OMS contact. Assist with preparing future schedules and future budgets as directed by VP or AA.  Manage the planning and organization of the CSO Chamber Music Series; both the All-Access Series and The Art Institute of Chicago Series. Assist AA in developing the CSO Mead Composers-in-Residence Chicago residencies.  Coordinate the residency activities of each CIR and serve as staff liaison for each residency period. Support AA in executing adult education/symposium activities. Coordinate Pre-Concert Conversations for CSO and Civic Orchestra concerts. Assist APA with production of Beyond the Score (locating images, follow-up with image holders, any operational/artistic needs such as procuring costumes, finding actors, etc.)Organize auditions as necessary. Assist with proofreading marketing materials, as necessary. Execute artist enquiries. Assist with backstage logistics and backstage concert duty for evening and weekend concerts. Special projects as assigned.

Qualifications and Application Requirements

Skills & Qualifications: 

1.   Bachelors Degree required.2.   Minimum of 3 years experience in orchestral administration.3.   Ability to work as part of a dynamic team.4.   Keen eye for detail.5.   Excellent communication skills (written and verbal).6.   Computer literacy, typing, clerical and organizational skills.
