PART-TIME MANAGEMENT POSITION
Small professional chamber organization is seeking a detail-oriented highly self-motivated part-time Managing Director with experience in performing arts.  The Managing Director works closely with the Board of Directors to provide strategic direction as well as hands-on execution of tasks. A 10-15 hour-a-week position with a flexible schedule including some evening and weekend hours, no office space is provided.

Formed in 1978, The Chicago Ensemble is dedicated to creating a legacy of enriching social experiences through diverse chamber music performances. Utilizing a dedicated core of Chicago area musicians, appearing in a variety of combinations from duets to sextets, the innovative program mix has become The Ensemble’s hallmark. 

Qualifications and Application Requirements

Skills & Qualifications: 


Desired experience:
College degree or 3-5 years equivalent experience
Knowledge of not-for-profit performing arts, preferably musical organizations
Detail-oriented with a high level of professionalism and organizational skills
Ability to perform in a fast-paced environment with multiple constituencies
Demonstrated experience in program/project management
Knowledge of budgeting, basic accounting, fund raising, marketing and public relations

Compensation:  annual salaried contract commensurate with experience; no benefits.
