Design Dance's Youth Summer Camp

We are excited to introduce Design Dance's first summer camp for young dancers.  This week-long experience will give students the opportunity to experience a multi-faceted dance education and will focus on the core elements of the Design Dance message.  Instructors will spend time educating students on proper technique and form in various styles while also introducing them to a variety of forms of dance from a choreography perspective.  Each day, dancers will also be asked to create their own works of movement art using the various styles and music they've been introduced to that day.  Dancers will be encouraged towards a feeling of community between themselves and their peers and grow in their understanding of respect, positive encouragement and self-expression.  The camp will conclude with a showcase of the dancers' work for their friends and family.  We look forward to watching our students explore their own creativity and have fun creating their own mini-masterpieces.

Who: Young dancers age 7-12 with some movement experience 
[no particular form of training necessary]

When: August 18th-22nd, 9:00-3:00 
[one hour lunch break, dancers should bring their own lunch]
Showcase: August 22nd, 4:00-5:00
