Participate in Chicago Artists Month 2008! The Chicago Department of Cultural Affairs invites you to participate in Chicago Artists Month 2008, the annual celebration of Chicago’s vibrant visual arts community during the month of October. Over 200 exhibitions, panel discussions, tours, open studios and neighborhood art walks take place at galleries, parks, neighborhood art centers, artists’ studio buildings and other locations throughout the city. This year's theme, "Artists and Issues that Matter," explores issues of interest and concern to artists and the art community, including political, environmental, moral, social, global or personal ones.
