The Chicago Tourism Fund is seeking an intern to play a key role in the coordination of Chicago Artists Month, an annual celebration of Chicago’s visual artists and their work. Chicago Artists Month 2010, the 15th annual celebration of Chicago’s diverse visual art community, takes place during October at galleries, museums, cultural centers, parks and artists’ studios throughout the city. The celebration will include exhibitions, tours, artist demonstrations, panel discussions and more. Responsibilities: Coordinate the collection and management of data from partner arts organizations; Assist in the preparation of text for web and printed materials; Coordinate communication with artists and partners; Assist in coordination of meetings and special events; Coordinate program evaluation and documentation; Perform other administrative tasks as needed to support the programs. May - October, 2010; 2 days/week; Stipend: $1500
Qualifications and Application Requirements

Skills & Qualifications: 

Strong organizational and communication skills. Database management experience. Interest in Chicago’s visual arts community. Must be energetic and able to work well within a team setting. Chicago residency required.
