No Coast Collective at 1500 W. 17th St. in Pilsen is looking for a new member!  Full membership is $200 - $225 per month and includes access to the following:

-Our screenprinting studio (details below)

-Drawing and fibers studio and soon to be video lab! 

-The No Coast store, a commission based studio store selling members art and local art, garments, music and publications.  Members sell art commission free!

-Access to the store space to host arts events.  The space primarily hosts workshops, screenings, art performances, book releases, and acoustic music shows (use for the space as a venue for live music is limited.)  

$112 Half Memberships are available for an introductory period.

Facilites include: cutting, printing and drawing tables, personal storage, flat file space, drying racks, exposure unit, light box, washout room and limited access to sewing and letterpress tools.

Applicants should have experience with or interest in collective practice.  We have regular meetings and all volunteer a few days to work the store and run public events in the space.

Mission

No Coast is a multi-use space, art studio, and consignment store in the Pilsen neighborhood on Chicago’s south side.

We believe that the products and processes of creative practice should be accessible to whomever is interested in them. We strive to be generous with our time, our tools, and our talents in order to create a nurturing, open, & collaborative community. Our specialties are fiber arts and printmaking, but our practice is inclusive of creating, showing, and discussing many different media.

Hours & Location

No Coast is open to the public Wednesday through Friday 1-7, Saturday 12-7, and Sunday 12-6. Our store and studio are located 1500 West 17th Street, at the corner of Laflin Street. We are just a few blocks from the 18th St. L station (Pink Line) and the Blue Island, Ashland and 16th/18th St. buses.
