Few programs exist either on the national or international level where the sole mission is to support the creativity of artists. SPACE The Bemis Center is housed in two urban warehouses totaling 110,000 square feet. Color correct photos, resize, restoration of damaged images, file prep, etc— a great way to learn the software without going it alone. $5 due to teacher at first class for workbook. An established arts and entertainment organization is launching a new permanent art space in Wicker Park (near Damen blue line) and is currently seeking proposals for Instillations in our new large gallery space.

The curators & the organization launching this art space have previously worked with the following highlighted artists, talent, & exhibitions: John Campbell (picturesforsadchildren.com, Artbeat Live, Art On Track 2008, Rotofugi, smART show, 25th Anniversary of Slam Extravaganza, Saul Williams, HBO Def Poets, Lollapalooza Nominated DJs, & various Grammy Award winning musicians.

The total gallery is about 1000 square feet, and the space that we are looking to show an installation in is about 12 by 12 feet, white wall raw gallery space. We are especially interested in artworks that involve light, but that is not a requirement.

The Hartnett Gallery at the University of Rochester in Rochester, New York is now accepting proposals from individual artists and groups interested in exhibiting their work during the 2012/13 academic year.

Established in 1972, this unique triangular gallery is located in one of the main buildings of the university, Wilson Commons, which was designed by the renowned architect I.M. Pei. The gallery has a rich exhibition history that includes both artists at the initial stages of their careers and artists who are internationally known.

Proposals should include: 1) a Curriculum Vitae, 2) an Artist's Statement, 3) a Project Description, specifying spatial and technical needs, 4) 8-10 representative Digital Images, and 5) an Image List (title, date, dimensions, medium).

ANTI is an international contemporary arts festival presenting site-specific works made for public space. Over the past 10 years ANTI has presented live, sonic, visual and text-based art from today’s most exciting and innovative artists. A truly international festival and Finland’s foremost presenter of Live Art, ANTI is a meeting place for artists and audiences fascinated by how art shapes the spaces of everyday life.

We are looking for innovative and exciting live art works for children. ANTI has a long history of presenting ground breaking projects for children and this year our annual call out is focused on finding something truly inspiring. We especially invite proposals from contemporary performance makers who have not made. work for children before but would like to produce something for a young audience. In previous years companies and artists like Gwendoline Robin, Lone Twin and Mammalian Diving Reflex have presented outstanding work for children at ANTI. That’s the tradition we want to continue: great work made by great contemporary artists for children.

Your project can take any form – it may be participatory and children do something with you, or it might be something a young audience encounters by surprise, or anything in between. Your project may last 30 minutes or seven days. It may be for an audience of one, or hundreds and projects should be targeted at specific age groups – from new-borns to teenagers.

ANTI is a site-specific festival – we do not show work in traditional art spaces, neither do we show touring street theatre: all our projects have a direct relationship with the spaces and places they are shown in. When proposing a project please make it very clear where your project would ideally be located, and why.

The Festival is open to all international videoartists.
Partcipation is free.

Between all submitted videos, will be done a final selection based on vote of a Jury composed by experts. The 30 selected artworks will become part of CAM permanent collection.

All sended materials don't will be return, and will be stored in the Festival's archive like documentation.

Sending the participation form, the artist accept fully the present rules.

The Jury verdict is incontestable.

The artist accept that his/her own videos will be broadcasted online and offline, on site http://www.magmart.it/ ; he/she accept that, if selected, the video become part of permanent collection of CAM, and should be freely screened CAM rooms

All the videos, selected or not, become part of Magmart's archive, and can be screened in any other place or event related to Festival, online or offline, with exclusion of any commercial use.

Still-frame from videos can be freely used for the Festival communication, mentioning title and author of artwork.

All rights on videos remain property of author. The author assert, under his/her own liability, the complete right of use on used materials (images, sounds, videos) and that compose the artwork; the author undertake completely the liability for any breach of copyright laws.

To participate is necessary fill out the form available online, http://www.magmart.it/rules.php#sub. The omission, or the incorrect filling, of one or more parts of form itself, will involve the exclusion of video by selection of Jury.

The possible selection by Jury is in any case subordinate at an essential condition for the proclaim of winners: the author of selected video must send, via ordinary mail, and within midnight of March, 15 2012, the donation act to CAM of the copy of his/her own video, and the hard copy on DVD itself. The donation act don't underlie in any way a transfer of right, but certify exclusively the willingness of author so that a copy of his/her own video artwork will be permanently keeped - and, with limitations above, utilized - in the permanent collection of CAM.

Without this donation act, the videos will be rule out by group of 30 selected artworks, and replaced by those immediately subsequent in Jury's ranking.
Any author can participate with max 5 videos.

We exist to foster a community where research is the basis for artistic discovery. The Attic provides a forum for creation through the lens of various disciplines and aesthetics. We believe in the power of the creative process, that experimenting leads to innovation, and that a strong collaboration lays the foundation for greatness.

A Call To Artists:

The Attic is looking for artists across a wide variety of disciplines, experiences and viewpoints to be a part of the launch of this project. We will meet bi-monthly, 7-9pm on Wednesday evenings, beginning March 7th. Focusing on American culture in the 1950’s and 60’s, this group will research, discuss and create work under the guiding principles listed above.

Project Summary:

Hesperidian Productions, a rapidly expanding Film, Fashion, Events, and Music Chicago based production company, is currently casting young, fresh faced models, ages 18-30, for an upcoming spring inspired editorial piece shooting on Saturday, February 25th 2012, as well as for future fashion related projects. Selected models will be featured in Hesperidian’s pending spring pictorial and video shoots, and will have the opportunity to be seen by a worldwide audience.

The upcoming editorial is being developed for fashion savvy industry professionals and leaders who own boutiques, magazines, blogs, etc. Therefore, models should have an upbeat and professional personality, and should be in tune with his or her body and angles. Female models should be 5”8+, between sizes 2-8, and men should be 5"10+, between 38-42 long in jacket size.

Professional hair, makeup, and wardrobe will be supplied on the day of the shoot. Projects will take place at various locations.

This is an excellent opportunity for participating models to make their professional portfolios and resumes stand apart with video content, film credits and high quality, professional photos.

If you are interested in auditioning, please attend our open call at 1579 N. Milwaukee Ave, Suite 352, on Sunday, February 12th from 12PM to 5PM. Please dress in neutral colors, such as white, black, and navy, form fitting clothes with minimal makeup, and please provide 2 copies of your professional resume, headshot and/or comp card. [prak-sis] transformed building spaces rendered vacant due to a downturn in the market, obsolescence, or neglect into art galleries. From these experiences [prak-sis] has developed exciting projects in art expos and gallery shows. [prak-sis] aims to show that even in times of economic crisis, life can blossom, a culture can grow and most of all, hope need not die.

For new projects, starting in the Fall of 2010, [prak-sis] plans to work with small businesses and neighborhood support organizations to help each other. With technology flooding our modern lives, we seek to promote art in new media as well as traditional art forms. [prak-sis] continues to further develop and focus online projects as we organize physical art exhibitions.

I am currently working on a new art project about people and their relationship with others, more specifically around beds. What I am looking for is true stories that are about your past experiences with someone involving sharing a bed.

- They can be good or bad experiences from any age involving any person (family, friend, stranger, etc).

- The stories can involve sex, but I am not looking for anything sexually explicit.

- They also must not include full names on the story itself.

- They can be any length but should be handwritten on paper (please don't write back to back on the paper, keep it one sided). These stories will be used for a sculpture incorporating a bed/bedding and viewers will be able to see the stories others have written.
