MUSIC DIRECTOR / PIANIST FOR MUSICAL THEATRE PRODUCTION
WCP is looking for a 2 key positions for our Spring show, The Wizard of Oz, in Jefferson Park. The show is an all-ages production, with paid professional actors alongside auditioned Youth and Teens.
Rehearsals begin in February, and take place on Saturday mornings, and Tuesday & Thursday evenings. Tech Week is March 23-29, and shows open March 30. Runs through May 6, 2019.
The cast and other creative staff are already set.
MUSIC DIRECTOR: Teach and rehearse musical numbers, plus accompany the shows.
Competitive rehearsal stipend, plus performance payment. There will be a small pit orchestra, you will be responsible for recruiting and rehearsing the pit musicians, as well. We are open to a rehearsal MD, then hiring a performance pianist - please submit your availability in the letter of interest.
ALSO LOOKING FOR....
CHOREOGRAPHER & MOVEMENT SPECIALIST: Design, teach and rehearse production numbers and smaller dance moments; assist in developing the look and feel of the show's movement and physicality. We would like this person to commit to about 75% of the rehearsals, plus tech week.
