Lyric Opera of Chicago | Audience Engagement Intern

Although internships are unpaid, a $30 weekly travel stipend is offered; other benefits include mentoring, complimentary tickets and ability to attend dress rehearsals, backstage tours, and networking events.  

General Description Summary:

  • Data entry and analysis of survey results
  • Assist in the implementation of new and existing customer service initiatives
  • Assist in the fulfillment of patron retention initiatives
  • Collaborate with other departments, including Lyric Unlimited, Development, Patron Services, Artistic and Production Departments as well as other members of the marketing team

Hours: 14-20 hours/week (max 20 hours/week unless approved); approx. January 15-May 15

Requirements
Skills & Qualifications: 

Minimum Education Requirements:

  • Pursuing undergraduate studies in marketing, communications, or related field

Required Skills:

  • Interest in opera or the arts
  • Must be a self-starter, detail oriented, have excellent organizational and problem-solving skills
  • Excellent communication skills
  • Computer literacy is required, with an emphasis in Microsoft Suite and Google Drive
  • Experience with SurveyMonkey or other survey software a plus
